Don't worry. This is actually perfectly normal behaviour.

All fish, Koi  and tropical, when presented with a new food might be a little sceptical at first. This is not unusual and it can take a few days before they take to the new food with enthusiasm. What you will find is that once they start to feed on Hikari their condition and health will improve and as a result your fish will become greedier than they ever have before.

You must resist the temptation to overfeed. Even Hikari when overfed to fish will result in serious problems with your pond or aquarium.

We have found that particularly with Koi the transition is much faster to Hikari. It is almost as if the fish sense that the diet is superlative and once they start with Hikari it is much harder to get them to accept anything else. After all, our fish do know what is best for them!
